Craig Moulton

Fire Electrical/Director – 30 years industry experience

Craig Moulton has a career in the fire and electrical industry that spans over thirty years. This has enabled him to gain knowledge and experience over a very broad spectrum within this field.

Craig’s involvement includes:

  • Fire fighting and hazard reduction activities. This includes all activities involved in fire fighting, traffic accident body extrication and hazard control, rescue, etc.
  • As a Station Officer broader roles included, Incident Command, Recourse and Labour Management, training and education of professional fire fighters, industry personnel and the general public.
  • Fire detection and EWIS/Occupant warning system installation. This includes Aged Care facilities, commercial buildings, Industrial sites, Mine sites, Hospitals etc .
  • Project management of Fire detection and EWIS/Occupant warning system installations. This includes, installation design, equipment and labour procurement and management, drawings, ongoing project management, commissioning, handover and warranty execution.
  • Administration, Company Management, estimator. On a daily basis, perform the tasks required to operate a continually evolving and expanding company. Prepare tenders and quotations for future works. Design systems as part of our design and construct role. Oversee and advise project managers, designers, supervisors etc.

Some of the highlight projects Craig has been involved with include:

  • Varanus Island – Gas turbine gas suppression system – Co2. This included upgrade of imported system for compliance with Australian Standards
  • Woolworths RDC – MULTIPLEX . Included Networked fire detection system and Networked EWIS system. The fire detection system included, point type smoke & thermal detection, networked aspirated smoke detection system, linear heat detection and beam detection. These detection systems protected Cool Rooms, Freezers, Computer Rooms, Offices, Warehouse, Dangerous goods area and more.
  • District Law Courts – MULTIPLEX. A multi storey building with multiple functions including basement car park, prisoner holding area and cells, offices, amenities and court rooms. Protection was supplied via a networked fire detection and EWIS system. Signals from these systems were integrated with the sophisticated building management and security systems.
  • Raine Square – Salta. Situated over a city block, bounded by Wellington, William Queen and Murray Streets. This 22 storey building has one of the largest foot prints in the city. A design and construct project that due to its size, required the fire detection and EWIS systems to be distributed throughout the building by fire rated networks. Due to many varied risks, such as three levels of basement car park, an atrium in the shopping mall, computer rooms and extended paths of egress, the design of the fire detection system utilises a wide variety of technologies. The fire detection system includes, point type smoke & thermal detection, aspirated smoke detection systems, beam detection and gas suppression.
  • MESA A – HWE.  A new mine site 50km from Panawonica, we installed a networked fire detection throughout the mine site. This consisted of 18 x distributed fire panels monitoring each buildings detection and occupant warning system. These panels are networked via the site fibre optic system. These systems covered all mine site buildings
